This piece was commissioned by Yunior Lopez, Artist Director and Conductor of the YAO Symphony Orchestra in Las Vegas, for there 2023 “Dias de los Muertos” Celebration. This programatic work is about Catrina, is a skeletal figure dressed in a gowned, sometimes in bright colors, sometimes in all black. La Catrina symbolizes the cycle of life, and serves as a reminder to enjoy life, and honor those who came before us.
