This piece was inspired by Maria Scheinder's take on "Love theme from Spartacus." I wanted to write something lush sounding with a memorable melody to feature Ed Calle's sensitive yet virtuosic playing. I've included strings to this piece as they supports the fast moving lines of the woodwinds and add more of studio jazz orchestra sound. The piece was recorded by the UNLV Jazz Ensemble 1 featuring my dear friend Carlos Mata-Alvarez.
