After hearing my piece Bite the Bullet, Joe approached me to write a piece for him. While this piece was started before the COVID-19 pandemic, a large portion of the writing was done during quarantine. Adelante is a Spanish word that means "ahead" or "forward." It is commonly used as an invitation when welcoming someone into your home. With the current state of our nation (COVID), I also want Adelante to represent moving forward as a nation with the hopes of everyone becoming one undivided peoples.
